The Scholarship
The scholarship is reserved for students that are involved in the Women’s Studies Program at PFW.
Scholarships are awarded to as many students as meet the Award Criteria Standard as long as there is sufficient CFWS budget to meet the awards. Historically the scholarship has ranged from $400 to $700 per eligible student. Payment of the award is divided across two semesters as long as the student remains eligible.
To receive the award students must:
be a women’s studies major
have completed at least 9 hours toward the requirements of the WOST major]
have completed or registered for a combined 60 credits of course work (generally, this means having a class standing as an advanced sophomore, a junior, or a senior at the time of the award)
have an overall GPA of 3.5 or above 60-100 credits overall
be a first time recipient.
